Did Someone Say Guitar?
I’ve been interested in music for almost all of my life, playing guitar has been in and out of my life for a long time.
I have developed a thing called “G.A.S”, gear aquisition syndrome. This is where you must have a new guitar or amp or effect pedal. I discovered that more gear doesn’t doesn’t make you play any better. But it’s fun…
Below are some of my guitars and amps.
2006 MIM Fender Stratocaster
When I think of an electric guiter, this is the one. A sunburst Strat with a maple fretboard.
Classic guitar with classic tones. Adaptable to many styles.
Home made SG
I built this from a kit, but didn’t end up using much more than the body, neck and some hardware bits.
Used high output pickups, locking tuners and rewired to the Jimmy Page wiring.
This is my favorite one to play.
2004 Epiphone Les Paul
Classic design. Played by many blues and rock players.
It is heavy but has tone for days.
2009 Hello Kitty Strat
I originally bought this to resell as they were selling on Ebay for more than I paid for it brand new at the Sanrio store in San Francisco.
It’s actually a very nice guitar. Fender just reintroduced a new version of this.
2007 Ibanez RGT shredder
A nice Ibanez.
Was given this by my daughter’s boyfriend at the time. He didn’t have enough time to play it.
1992 Epiphone Flying V
While not a hit when they were introduced, they later developed a large following mostly with hard rock and metal players and also some blues players.
Fender Super Champ XD
A very nice amp with 15 watts. It has 16 preset “voices and some builtin effects like chorus and rerverb.
Jet City 2112 amp
Nice amp. 20 watts. Goes pretty loud and has a nice “crunch”.
The Big Dog mini amp
I built this one myself from plans. It has a whopping 1/2 watt power. A fun build and fun to play around with.
Well….. That got expensive after a while
So, still wanting to aquire stuff, I turned to effects pedals….
